About Linda’s Care

The people you invite into your home should feel like friends and family. If someone coming into your home is helping you with activities of daily living, you especially want to be sure he or she is trustworthy, dependable, and just plain good company.

At Linda’s Care, we believe that the best home care services and companion care can only happen within a good relationship. Our caregivers aren’t just helping you with your daily needs; they are dedicated to making sure their time with you is spent in a positive environment that supports your mood and your health. Our goal is for every caregiver and client to feel like family so that every day together is a good day.

We say that empathy is at the heart of our home care because we know that it takes a lot of courage to ask for help after a long life of independence. Our goal is for our clients to be so comfortable with our caregivers that it’s just like having a close friend or family member help them through their day.

Inspired to Care

Charnaya Washington founded Linda’s Care in honor of her grandmother, Linda D. Blount. Linda was the loving matriarch of a large family, and she showered love on her grandchildren by inviting them into her daily activities of cooking, cleaning, and cheering on her beloved Philadelphia Eagles. When Linda suffered a devastating stroke that left her unable to care for herself any longer, she was moved into a nursing home where she eventually passed away. Charnaya was too young then to step in and take on the role of caring for her grandmother, but that difficult experience stirred a passion in her heart to help others age in their own homes for as long as possible.

Charnaya’s mission is not just to provide basic home care services, but to help aging adults, veterans, and people with disabilities live full and satisfying lives with the help of caregivers who respect them as individuals. As someone who worked in the caregiving field, Charnaya also understands that caregiving employees deserve respect and a positive work environment. People have a better day at work when they feel like their voices are being heard, when they enjoy the people around them, and when their work is properly compensated.

At Linda’s Care, empathy means allowing caregivers and clients to choose each other through the companion match guarantee. It means providing training and learning opportunities to all staff. It means respecting the changing needs of clients. And it means treating everyone the way Linda would have – like family.
