Live-in Care
A live-in caregiver may not actually reside full-time with the client. In many cases, the caregiver stays with the client for a scheduled number of days to provide round-the-clock care, and then has some time off. Another caregiver may step in at that time, or the live-in help could be part of a respite care arrangement. In other circumstances, the live-in caregiver might legally reside with the client.
Who is it for?
Live-in care agencies provide round-the-clock care for individuals who cannot be alone or need constant care. This may be due to a disability, advanced aging, chronic illness, or dementia. Often, these individuals do not have family caregivers available to provide for some of their needs.
